Welcome to Westpine Middle School
Dear Parents, Guardians, and Community Members,
Welcome to Westpine Middle School, where every student is challenged to think critically, solve problems creatively, and discover their potential. I am Christopher D. Johnson, and it is both an honor and a privilege to serve as the proud Principal of this incredible school community.
The world our children are preparing to enter is changing faster than ever before. Artificial intelligence is transforming the way we learn, work, and communicate. While technology continues to evolve, the qualities that will always set our students apart cannot be automated. Critical thinking, effective communication, adaptability, creativity, collaboration, and strong character will remain the skills that define successful leaders. At Westpine, we intentionally develop these competencies every day, ensuring our students are not simply prepared for today's world but are ready to lead tomorrow's.
Our mission extends far beyond academics. We are committed to developing well rounded students who excel in the classroom while growing as leaders, teammates, artists, athletes, innovators, and compassionate members of our community. Whether your child discovers a passion through athletics, the arts, student government, academic competitions, service organizations, clubs, or one of our many enrichment opportunities, I encourage every student to become actively involved in school life.
A student's experience at Westpine is largely shaped by the choices they make. The more they engage, participate, lead, and challenge themselves, the more rewarding their middle school journey will become. Our goal is to cultivate a school culture where every student feels connected, valued, and inspired to contribute. Together, we are building more than a school. We are building a community.
I have always believed in the saying, "It takes a village to raise a child." That philosophy remains at the heart of everything we do. A strong partnership between home and school is one of the greatest predictors of student success. I encourage every parent and guardian to stay actively involved by communicating with teachers, participating in school events, monitoring academic progress, and celebrating your child's achievements. When families and schools work together with a common purpose, extraordinary things happen.
